Football provides a connection from Africa to the modern world for
many young Africans.
By making ‘screen time’ available in local video clubs and internet
cafes, G Tech uses this interest in football as the catalyst for
education and community development amongst the under-privileged youth
in Africa.
We help young African football fans and players to gain
access to the internet to research the latest football team and club news, build their
language, literacy and IT skills and ultimately capitalise on the
research and communication potential of the internet to realise their
ambitions.
Supporters Wanted For Youth Football Projects In Africa
G Tech uses football and education to bridge the gap between youth
and society through mutually beneficial partnerships and affiliations,
public and private schools, community-based organisations and local
football clubs. G Tech is a nonprofit community development organisation
that gives footballers in schools and grass roots football teams and clubs in
Africa the ability to view, research and play their favourite sport.
Attracting sponsorship, donations, volunteers or funding for a youth
football program in Africa can be challenging and time consuming. In
Africa, every little helps, be it old football boots, trainers, balls,
shirts, shorts, socks, bibs, cones, nets, corner flags, linesman’s
flags, referee’s whistles, training manuals, soccer annuals, books,
CD’s, DVD’s and absolutely anything else in any way related with foot
and ball.
Play a part in our African football development projects: As a youth
football support group we are happy to receive volunteers, sponsorship,
funding or donations of anything involving football. With dedication, a
great team effort, planning and strategy, our fund raisers are raising
money to support our youth football and development projects across
Africa.
