Decio Viaggi is located in the province of Varese in the far northern tip of Italy next to Ticino, Switzerland. The company has 5 outlets throughout the province and it specialises in tailor-made itineraries with a keen focus on Africa from Morocco to Mozambique. Lella and Pietro have travelled extensively right through the continent several times in the past 25 years; including the Indian Ocean isles.

Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius and Madagascar have no secrets left to Decio’s, as they have been visited each a number of times. Firsthand experience, bespoke service, unparallel knowledge turned the team at Decio's into unrivalled African experts.

Lella specialises in Southern and Eastern Africa, whereas Pietro has a keen interest in Northern Africa. Lella has a passion for the wildlife: whether in the untamed vastness of the Selous or the greenery of the Okavango Delta few places have not been driven, flown or sailed by her. Pietro focuses more on Egyptology and Late Antiquities.

The passion for this specific part of the world is nestled in his genuine interest in ancient history which is further strengthened by old family ties in the then short-lived Italian Empire. Family roots, passion and work bound Pietro’s life to the Maghreb region. African storytelling lead Lella and Pietro’s children throughout their childhood, turning them into true-blue African pioneers, thus having the new generation ready to transmit such rare and intimate knowledge.
